This corner of the digital world serves as my (Dmitry Tereshenko - he/him) personal, professional outlet for creative expression, community-building, and developing a safe-space dedicated to grace, growth, and compassionate movement throughout life. Everything shared across my platforms is informed by my unique life-story as an individual born into the Ukrainian Diaspora on U.S. soil, as well as what I've grown to understand as a Retired Junior Olympic/Elite Medalist turned Linguistic Researcher and Compassionate Consultant working in the worlds of Language Technological Development, Generative AI-Systems, Ethical & Trustworthy Language-Model Design, Disability Advocacy, and Civic Leadership.
The information, experiences, and personal essays contained within my website (and across all my social platforms) are designed to be a transparent and vulnerable look at the challenges, triumphs, and lessons that I've learned while building a career at the intersection(s) of language analytics, technological stewardship, cognitive diversity, and unexpected life-path transitions.

Dmitry is a formally trained linguist, technologist, and systems thinker whose work lives at the intersection of language, cognition, technology, and human care. With advanced academic training in linguistics and hands-on experience across research, consulting, and mission-driven organizations, Dmitry brings a rare blend of analytical rigor and lived insight to the study of how language shapes power, identity, and possibility.
As a neurodivergent professional, Dmitry's path has been anything but linear—and that nonlinearity is not a deficit, but a source of depth. His work is informed as much by institutional experience as by injury, recovery, cultural inheritance, and the hard-won process of learning to translate survival into systems that serve people more humanely.

In the Spring of 2025, Dmitry was interviewed by Marquis Who’s Who® and inducted into the 2025-2026 registry of Honored Listees in recognition of the impact his work in the world; additionally, given the Leadership nature of his professional passions, Dmitry was also recognized as a Marquis Who’s Who Emerging Leader.

Across his professional channels, Dmitry aims to externalize what is often left invisible: the cognitive labor, linguistic negotiation, and quiet resilience required to navigate modern institutional systems. His aim is not to position himself as an expert above others, but as a rigorous witness and guide—offering frameworks, language, and lessons learned so fewer people have to feel alone, unheard, or unprepared.

Linguistics is the scientific study of Language, and my professional focus has always been on how language is used, co-constructed, processed, and leveraged across the human experience (both digital + in-person).
I personally use the label neurospicy to honor my individual + unique neurocognitive profile. As an individual diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)-Combined Presentation, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD-Chronic), and Insomnia in later chapters in my life, I am committed to developing a compassion-first (1st) mentality for both myself and others diagnosed with health labels that require use to re-learn how to navigate life with grace.
<aside> ⚠️
While others may not find this label of 'neurospicy' fitting for their respective experiences, this is a specific language heuristic I have deliberately chosen to adopt as a means to re-invent my sense of self, while also educating myself (and my communities) on how to construct pragmatic countersystems with the hope of re-imaging what could be possible if we de-stigmatized and drive agents of shame out of the process of self-acceptance and healing.

Often, as language develops across generations, there is typically resistance that develops towards ‘new’ ways of speaking… so why not lean it, be creative, and embrace the beauty of how language itself evolves to mirror our realities, particularly when navigating the complexity of who we are in the world around us. If I had to choose between my language (a complex framework of who I am) being bland for the sake a palatability, or incorporating new spices as my world view expands… I’m going to choose the spicy option every time.
